What it’s all about…

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a direct collaboration between farmers and local customers. CSA members make a commitment to support the farm throughout the season by purchasing farm shares in advance of the growing season. Members know exactly where their food comes from and receive fresh, organic produce weekly throughout the season. The farm enjoys direct relationships with customers and gets upfront capital to cover essential costs like seeds and supplies. Join our CSA and share in the the bounty, joys and risks of growing food.  Read on for more info!

What makes our CSA special…

U-pick – As part of your CSA share, you can enjoy coming to our beautiful farm in Soquel to pick herbs from our CSA garden. When we have an excess bounty of a crop, such as tomatoes and strawberries, CSA members have the opportunity to pick their own produce at discounted rates.

Quality – We are committed to growing the highest quality, certified Organic crops. We love growing interesting and tasty heirlooms and specialty crops.

Choices – CSA Pick ups are on Tuesdays from 12-6 at our farm in Soquel or on the Westside of Santa Cruz. At the farm,  you will have the opportunity to “mix and match” vegetables you prefer (for instance, choose chard or kale, take 3 lbs of eggplant &/or tomatoes). You can also buy extra veggies at our farm stand when you pick up your share.

Education – Everett Farm offers beginning farmers a chance to manage a farm operation on affordable land with a thriving customer base.  For 12 years, young and beginning farmers have grown crops here and gained invaluable skills, thanks to the Everett Family’s vision. By supporting the Everett Farm CSA, you are supporting a generation of new Organic farmers.

Local – Our farm is YOUR community farm. We are a small family-owner farm located in Soquel, just 5 miles south of Santa Cruz.

Honesty – CSA is a relationship. We are happy to share with you what it takes to grow food – the costs, time, commitments – and encourage you to get to know us and our farm. We will host farm tours and events throughout the season so that you can visit the farm and really know your food and your farmers.

How it works…

Our CSA runs for 24 weeks, from May through October (weather dependent). Pick-up days are Tuesdays, from noon until 6 pm at the farm, Tuesdays 3-7 on the Westside, or Saturdays, 9-6 at the farm.  A CSA share is $600 for the entire season. We also offer additional  flower shares and fruit shares. Read our FAQs or email EverettFarmCSA@gmail.com for more information, or  Sign Up Now.

What’s in a box…

Each week, we will harvest fruits and vegetables fresh from our fields for you. The types of food vary with the seasons and weather, but you can expect 8-1o items a week, and a diversity of crops such as lettuce, tomatoes, summer squash, potatoes, onions, strawberries, eggplant, peppers, and so much more! Each weekly box is designed to feed 2-4 people depending on your appetite and cooking preferences. Shares are not meant to necessarily provide all your food needs for the week, but rather to give you a fresh, bountiful selection of seasonal food. If a share seems like too much food for you, find a friend to split a share with!
